It was a crisp Autumn day as she held my hand.
She was telling me something I couldn't quite understand.
We walked toward the downtown stores, that much I knew.
We stopped in front of the window filled with shoes!
I will never forget it...
She bought me a pair of Black Patent Leather Shoes!!

George Burns, after coming on to the Jonny Carson Show, once said; "Did you ever feel like you were in a room filled with tuxedos, and you were a pair of old, brown shoes?" That was the best...
I'm very particular about brown shoes...I mostly wear black. But I do have some browns in the collection. Now when it comes to mens shoes...brown should only be worn with brown...I really get upset when I see some guy wearing brown when he should be wearing black. Call me nuts!
oh, oh those are brown!! :D
O how generous of her to buy you a pair!
Great 55ve!
Uh Lulda...?
Can you still wear them?

mona: That was very generous of her since she didn't have lots of money...so, that makes it extra special in my book!
gman: I have only one pair of black patent leather shoes now and it is not the original pair. :D

lime: That and a pair of saddle shoes for school...ha...oh and maybe a pair of sneakers. I really don't think I had many pairs of shoes when I was a kid. Made up for that now! :D
BD: Yes, that's another blast from the past. Is he still alive?
