He threw the rocks onto the frozen pond.
The rocks made a "ping" sound as they skidded across to the other side.
Ice Dreams...he thought. Everything frozen in time.
Why am I like these stones? Skipping from one job to the next...
When will the thaw begin and I can settle to the bottom?

Interesting ... and a little dark. If you settle to the bottom you drown.
To answer your question, as well as I can anyway, my story over the next couple of weeks is gonna get very ugly. Whether you should be afriad or not, I couldn't say. But you should be prepared. Just sayin'.
brrr... when will the thaw begin??
I hope soon...We do need a thaw everywhere as such!
that picture is really fascinating.
i could use a thaw too but i hope to float rather than sink.
Lulda....Fantastic 55!!
I'm so glad you make an effort to post on Friday's. This was one of the best ones that so far. You are quite a hidden talent my dear.
Have a Great Week-End.....G
Beautiful picture and a very poetic, contemplative post.
I think I can relate to it in more ways than one.;)
Like Mojo, I see the dark side. (Course, I see the dark side of EVERYTHING!) Floating to the bottom sounds like burial. Maybe he should just keep skimming the top! D
wow this was super! great 55
thanks for visiting me too! :)
That really is a great photo.Makes me feel cool. It's really hot here in Australia at the moment. Temperatures of 45 degrees celcius.I think that's about 116 degrees farenheit.it's been fun on this first-time visit, especially your reading back through older posts. I will make sure to visit again.
I love this photo. It's a beauty. And hopefully you'd swim to shore upon spring thaw -rather than sink.
Story of my life the last few years! Greatt 55 and thanks for stopping by mine!
Ima like! You too.
Thanks everyone for stopping by...
I can't credit that photo to me. It was off the internet...but, I like to get the best possible pic to match up with the 55's.
I'm a swimmer not a sinker! So let's hope for the best in upcoming months...and a speedy thaw! :)
I hate ice but that's one of the most beautiful pictures I've seen in a while.
Neat photo, but I really am tired of winter!
