Flash Fiction Friday 55 - "No Love for Betty"

Betty spoke about being sad knowing she would never have the chance to experience being in love.

Why? You are married, right? Yes, but that was arranged!

I tried a few times to love him, but it never worked.

Now, you do have a daughter...

At least you have the child to Love, I cried!

Poor Betty!

Arranged marriages may still be okay in a few cultures, but it's contrary to the ideals of most modern societies.

Knowing these DO still exist doesn't make it any easier to accept them. Nice 55.

great 55...

the positive part of arranged marriage is that you follow what you are given, build love, without side effects...
in general, people who do arranged marriages never have previous experiences with a different lover, thus it is an interesting thing....

of course, I am not a fan of it, my grandparents are arranged,

Something wonderful came out of her marriage. You've gotta love that.

The love of a child is very special.

Many people who marry for love also end up without it.

Very thoughtful 55.
