Mrs. Tidwell held the gift certificate in her hand.
It was for a day of pampering at the local spa.
She never had a massage, facial or even a manicure
in her whole life.
She felt her nephew wasted his money.
She debated what to do next...go or stay?
The door opened...she sighed.

My son gave a gift certificate to my wife for that once, and she enjoyed it..
I have had a massage once in my life. I feel it is kind uncomfortable to have complete strangers touch me. I think one has to get used to it as young; it is way to late for me.
I think I will end up as Mrs. Tidwell, I am afraid.:P

My boyfriend and I were on vacation and we went to the spa at the resort for massages. It was so awkward because we didn't know what clothing to remove and what to leave on.
Should that be common knowledge?

I'm a Massage Therapist and I also teach MT. So, I am always willing to accept a good massage. My husband is also a MT and we do spot treatments on each other! Not as often as I would like. :D
Anyway, I would never turn away a gift cert. and would use that sucker up in a NY minute!!
Queen Bee: Next time you go get a massage they should tell you to strip down to your comfort level. That could mean down to undies...no bra please...if you want a good back rub! Or you could go commando...naked. You should be always properly draped.
Protege: You just have to find the right therapist to feel comfortable and safe.
