Macro Monday #7 "Flower"

sponsered by lisa'schaos

This past weekend, on a Saturday no less, I ventured into a local Lowes Hardware Store with my sister and some friends. It was a hot and sticky day. Too soon to be in the 90's.
I was not in the mood to buy anything...As I half heartedly went down an aisle, I spotted this lovely flower...Enjoy!

Thematic Photographic #46 - "Round"

NO...these are not my glasses...these are some Halloween glasses I purchased
that my husband wore. I think they fit the bill for ROUND!

BLUE NIRVANA - Friday 55

I fly amongst the clouds alongside the silver birds.

I search for the nourishment of life.

I soar and sink down to the earth and skim the waters edge.

I find my catch in the reflecting sea.

I walk amongst my brothers on the sandy dunes.

As time progresses, I search for my Blue Nirvana.

If you have a 55 word story, post it and check in every Friday, with Mr. KnowItAll...

Macro Monday #6 "Hint of Purple"

This was taken recently on a Sunday drive in the country. We stopped by a riverbed to take in the majestic scene. I stopped and looked down and saw these mini, purple cuties staring up at me!

Birthday Oatmeal

Ok, this might not be a perfect idea of "edible" but, if your cholestrol is up and your blood pressure is up, this might be what you need.

I took this picture last year...my husband thought it was funny to put the candles on it for my birthday breakfast.

Macro Monday #5 "PINEY"

Upon checking out a new campsite this weekend, I couldn't resist a close-up of some fallen pine branches. Part of this campsite is set back in the tall pines and the other part is on a river.

We didn't campout this weekend, we just wanted to inspect. I'm sure before the month is up though, we will be setting up our tent in these pines! Have a great "Piney" week!

If you have a close-up pic post it and check in with lisaschoas!

FLASH 55 FICTION FRIDAY - "Shall We Dance"?

He came sniffing around me and I could tell it was Springtime.
He used work issues as a guize...
But, I could tell!
He told me about a dance class he was attending and I took the bait.
"Oh, great...perhaps I will sign up also".
He gently handed me the brochure and smiled.

Thematic Photographic #43 - "Reflective"

If you haven't done it already, check out Carmi over at Written, Inc. for more thematic goodness.

This picture is so special to me because it has my 1st Lab in it, on the run. My Chocko passed away in 2008, so when I see this picture I think of the great times we had together and all the great places he went with us...He is chasing my car... he is running after my husband who is driving away.

I'm sure the beach is a place that many people find "reflective".

For me when I'm at the beach, I think of the past, the people who are no longer here and the friends and family who are living in distant places that I haven't seen for a long time.
I think about my current problems and how to solve them.... I reflect on my future and wonder how long do I have left here on earth...what should I do now! Etc....Etc....you get the picture.

I want to make a note that the date on this picture is not the true date this was taken. But, interestingly it is my birthday...but of course, not the year!
