Flash Fiction Friday - "Ahoy Matie"

The sails were hoisted high and the southern wind had picked up.
The crew below were excited to begin their journey.

The ship sailed past Devils Island and Rum Reef.
The sound of singing began with a familiar sea shanty.

Mary Read stood proud, for she was the famous
English, female pirate.

Ahoy, finally recognition!

Ahoy matie , if you have your own 55 shanty to sing let the G-Man hear about it over at Mr. Know-It-All.

I never heard of a female pirate - how cool is that.;) I thought women among the crew were bad luck in those days.;)
Have a great Friday,
xoxo
