Friday Flash 55 - "Mrs. Tidwell the Green Thumb"

Mrs. Tidwell circled the number on the calendar.
In 10 days these little seeds will sprout!

She was never a "green thumb", but decided
to try something new.

She never got the connection of human to plant.

But ever since that new neighbor Mr. Jones moved in
and started to garden...

She got the urge!

Flash Friday 55 - "Naughty Natrium"

"Pass the salt", he said.
"Don't use too much", she said.
As they both sprinkled the crystals unto their canned beans.
They were both unaware of the highly present sodium content.

Their blood pressure rising like an active volcano!

"I wonder if I'll fly today", she said.
"I wonder if we'll strike today!"

Friday Flash 55 - "Dog eat Dog"

In Moscow there are some 500 stray dogs that live in the metro stations, especially during colder months, but only about 20 have learned how to ride the trains, according to animal specialist Andrei Neuronov.

This is my brief 55 interpretation of one of those dogs morning ride...


YORGI

Yorgi waited on the platform for the 8:15 to Tverskaya.
Others gathered round, reading papers or just snoozing.

Yorgi kept calm as the train entered the station.
Doors opened, the humans embarked and at the last split second he dashed inside.

Yorgi was happy and looking forward to arriving in Tverskaya.
Today was shawarma day!

Flash Fiction Friday 55 - "Risen"

"Risen"

The smell of incense burned her nostrils.

"He has risen from the dead", she heard the priest exclaim.

Surely, this was a sign of a new beginning, a new horizon.

Life would be easier now that her abusive husband had passed on...

certainly to the depths of HELL!

This Easter Sunday she has RISEN again!!
